Abstract
Objective To investigate clinical efficacy of vitrectomy combined with scleral buckling for retinal detachment associated with choroidal detachment. Methods Clinical data of 37 patients(37 eyes) of retinal detachment with choroidal detachment was collected from January 2007 to December 2009.Results Among 37 patients with retinal reattachment after the first surgery,7 cases failed in the follow-up and received surgery again, among which 4 cases successfully reattached, and 3 cases failed in final. The overall successful rate of retinal reattachment surgery was 91.9%.Conclusion Vitrectomy combined with scleral buckling surgery for retinal detachment with choroidal detachment was proved to be an effective way.
