Abstract

Objective:To analyze the clinicopathological characteristics of cellular uterine leiomyoma(CUL),and explore the biological behavior clinical prognosis. Methods: The data of 78 CUL patients were collected, their clinicopathological features,B-ultrasound founding and modus of operation were analyzed retrospectively. All postoperative patients were followed up.Results: Menstrual changes were main clinical symptoms of CUL.Smooth muscle cells were plentiful, but karyokinesis was seldom,it is less than 5 per 10 highpower field. Most lump of uterus with CUL patients showed equal or low level echo areas under B-ultrasound examination. The recurrence rate of CUL was 22.8% in patients who accepted myomectomy. Conclusions: The clinical features of CUL were similar to ordinary uterine leiomyoma.CUL patients suffering from recurrence of myoma should accept hysterectomy.
