Effects of Ischemic Preconditioning on Infarct Size and Left Ventricular Functions and Prognosis in Short time of Patients with First Acute Myocardial Infarction

Objective: To evaluate the effect of ischemic preconditioning to myocurdium prior to first acute myocardial infarction (AMI) on infarct size , left ventricular function and prognosis in short time. Methods: According to the state of angina pectoris before AMI in 24 hours, 94 patients were classified into two groups, 48 patients with IP (group IP)and 46 without ischemic preconditioning (group NIP). Then measured and investigated the infarct size and left ventricular function,cardiogenic shock,in-hospital mortality and walking distance in 6 minutes after out of hospital. Result: The peak value of myocardial enzye CK and CK-MB, the estimated infarct size of myocardium by ECG ,cardiogenic shock and in-hospital mortality.in IP group proved to be lower than that in NIP group . The left ventricular function of Ip group was better than that of NIP group. Conclusion: The ischemic preconditioning has effects on protection of myocardium, decrease of infarct size and improvement of the diastolic function in left ventride and improvement prognosis in short time.
