Recent Development of Chinese Governance Transition in 2006

In 2006,China brought forward the establishment of a harmonious society as its new project.From the point of view of governance,the establishement of a harmonious society means that,in the course of management,to put people rather than management first;to harmonize development rather than let somebody be rich first;to advance the governmental functional transition and managemant innovation;to build a democratic government with responsibility and transparency and under rule of law.This article points out that the change of idea from devopment with priotity to harmonious development has the utmost impact on Chinese governance transition in 2006.The author holds that 2006 is an important year in governance transition in China.However,good governance is not only an idea and art of management and a movement put forward by government,but also has its own institutional and cultural foundations,which China has a long way to establish.
