The Application of Deep Venous Catheter Technology in the Drainage of Pleural Effusion

Objective To research the deep venous catheter drainage of pleural effusion in the clinical significance and indication.Methods 462 cases of moderate and above the amount of pleural effusion of patients with deep venous catheter technology to retain the catheter guide wire through the chest,the timing pleural effusion drainage and injection of drugs.Results 462 cases of patients who had cytologic diagnosis of pleural effusion taken,lung cancer 368 cases;pleural mesothelioma 22 cases;phthisis 52 cases.moderate pleural effusion286 cases,large pleural effusion 176 cases,The longest indwelling tube for 42 days,a minimum of 2 days.378 cases of intrapleural injection of chemotherapy after repeated drug treatment,all cases no failures and complications. Conclusion The technique of deep venous catheter drainage of pleural effusion in both lines at any time to facilitate drainage,and also make the diagnosis and chemotherapy for intrathoracic injection.This method is safe,simple,low cost,is currently the treatment of malignant pleural effusion of moderate or more effective way.
