Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical significance of the technique of central venous catheter for pleural effusion closed drainage caused by lung cancer. Methods Sixty-two cases who had pleural effusion caused by lung cancer were administered with central venous catheter pleural indwelling closed drainage and drug injection.Efficacy and complications were observed. Results The overall response rate was 88.7% including 30 CR cases and 25 PR cases and 7 NC cases. The method had slight adverse reactions but low complication rate.It was effective and reliable. Conclusion The conclusion is that central venous catheter drainage of pleural effusion is simple, safe, effective and worthy of clinical application.
