Abstract
Hexyl acetate was synthesized from acetic acid and n-hexanol with c-toluenesulfonic supported on activated carton as catalyst. The effect of factors on esterification ratio was studied. The result shows that the best reaction condition was: based of 0.10mol acetic acid, molar ratio of n-hexanol to acetic acid was 1.4,mass of catalyst was 3g,the taking water reagent was 15mL,reaction time was 30min.The yield of the product could reach over 94%.
