Abstract
Objective To observe the changes of serum interleukin-6(IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor(TNF-α) in patients with acute cerebral infarction and to study their effects on inflammatory pathologic injury of cerebral ischemia. Methods 123 qualified patients were selected.Serum concentrations of IL-6 and TNF-α were measured radioimmunologically. Results Serum levels of IL-6 ,TNF-α,glucose, fibrinogen and the body temperature in worsen-group were significantly higher than those in non-worsen group(all P0.01).The larger the volumes of cerebral infarction, the higher the serum concentrations of IL-6 and TNF-α.Conclusion IL-6 and TNF-α were associated closely with the changes of volume of cerebral infarction and neurological dysfunction, which may be the factors for predicting severity of acute cerebral infarction in clinic.
