Abstract

Objective:To observe the curative effect of magnesium sulfate in the treatment of bronchiolitis in children. Methods:51 sick children with bronchiolitis were divided into treatment group(n=25) and control group(n=26) in random. Both groups were treated with anti-infection,anti-virus,inhale oxygen etc, besides this, the treatment group was added with magnesium sulfate intravenous drip, while the control group with aminophylline intravenous drip. The times of asthma remission and wheezing and cough disappearance as well as the cure rates of two groups were observed respectively. Reulsts:The times of asthma remission and wheezing and cough disappearance in the treatment group shortened obviously comparing to those in the control group(P0.05),the cure rate in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group(P0.01). Conclusion:Magnesium sulfate is a safe and effective drug in the treatment of bronchiolitis in children.
