Action Research: An Effective Way of Improving School-based Teacher Training

A new model of teacher training that bridges the gap between educational theories and practice, the school-based teacher training aims to replace the traditional training activities undertaken by universities or other educational institutions, which are alienated from reality and poor in effect. Integrating with research, is employed mainly to solve problems in practice and to improve quality of the practice. Therefore, the action research as a basic strategy in school-based teacher training can guarantee the effect of the training and accelerate the professional development of teachers.
