Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effect of PICC via elbow vein and external jugular vein in tumor patients. Methods 136 patients with tumor were randomly divided into two groups. The group A with 68 patients was received the PICC catheter via external jugular vein;while the group B with 68 patients was received the PICC catheter via elbow vein. The success rate of catheterization、the incidence of complications and patients' satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of complications of the group A was lower than those of the group B9(P0.05). Conclusion It was a better treatment to provide the PICC via external jugular vein for tumor patients.
