Abstract

The effects of solution and aging treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties of 2024 Al alloy were studied using the mechanical properties tests.The results show that the best heat treatment process system for the 2024 Al alloy is: solution at 500 ℃ for 50 min and artificial aging at 180 ℃for 10 h,and the hardness of alloy is 81.3 HRB.
