Abstract
By analyzing the characteristics of foreign language teaching in professional colleges, this paper approaches the special requirements for foreign language teachers and makes an evaluation of their present situation. On this basis, some suggestions to strengthen the construction of foreign language teachers in higher professional colleges are put forward.
