Abstract

By means of loading increment step and element birth/death techniques, the simulation analysis of the whole process of bridge force conditions from construction state to completion state can be performed. In this paper, with reference to a 7×100-m span continuous steel and concrete composite box girder bridge, the method for simulation analysis of the bridge is presented. The results of calculation show that the method can well fulfill precise simulation of the whole process of the actual force conditions of the components of the bridge, therefore contributing an effective means of verifying construction scheme selection for multi-span composite girder bridges.
