Study on knowledge and about AIDS of general population in Hanting District of Weifang City

Objective Understand general crowd masters the situation to the preventive treatment knowledge of AIDS,explores the focal point of health education of AIDS in urban and rural areas.Methods Use unified AIDS of the whole nation knowledge to inquire into a questionnaire,adopt the investigation waiting for capacities to stratify rectifying the group,simple random sampling method,carrying out a questionnaire on 2004 urban and rural residents.Results Correct answer rates of the city residents and countryside residents were 76.86% and 50.88% respectively,which had significant difference.The understanding degree to some questions was lower,the correct answer rate of the question 'can mosquito transmit HIV?' was the lowest,only 20.21%(405/2004).Conclusion Knowledge level of AIDS prevention and control needs to be enhanced much more among general population,and it is very necessary to strengthen health education of AIDS in city and countryside.
