Abstract

Objective: To study the effect of laparoscopy on human immune system of erythrocyte and T-lymphocyte subpopulation in the patients with benign ovarian tumor or tumor-like lesion. Methods: The immune function of erythrocyte and T-lymphocyte subpopulation in 47 patients with benign ovarian tumor were studied, that the rate of RBC-C3b receptor rosette (RBC-C3bRR), RBC immunocomplex rosette (RBC-ICR), tumor-RBC rosette (RBC-TRR) and CD3, CD4, CD8 cells as observation index. Results: On the first day post-operation, immune function of erythrocyte and T-lymphocyte subpopulation in these patients were degraded slightly with no significance, and recovered to normal within three days. Conclusions: Laparoscopy has no significant effect on human immune system of erythrocyte and T-lymphocyte subpopulation. Our study provide immune evidence for immediate recovery after laparoscopy .
