Abstract
Objective Study on the influences of Simvastatin and IGF-1 on the proliferation of human lung fibroblast. Methods human lung fibroblast was cultured and MTT colorimetry assay was used to determine the proliferation of human lung fibroblast, the influences of IGF-1 and Simvastatin on the proliferation of human lung fibroblast was observed in vitro. Results The proliferation of human lung fibroblast was inhibited by Simvastatin.Combination of IGF-1 and Simvastatin can inhibit the proliferative capability of human lung fibroblast. Conclusion Simvastatin potently inhibited while IGF-I stimulate human lung fibroblast proliferation.
