Study on Negative Transfer of Mother Tongue in English Writing

Chinese students are often interfered by mother tongue during English writing,which is called negative transfer.Therefore,through comparing the differences between English and Chinese as well as the different thinking modes between Chinese and westerners,this paper expounds the negative influences of Chinese on English writing at lexical,syntactic and discourse levels.It also attempts to offer some learning strategies to remove the interferences of mother tongue so as to improve students' English writing level.
