Abstract
Objective:To discuss the expression of p63 protein of p53 gene family member in gastric cancer and its significance. Method:The tissue microarrary was made from 41 cases of gastric cancer and 37 cases of normal tissues nearby the gastric cancer, and the expression of p63 was detected by immunohistochemical S-P methods. Results:① p63 protein shows as claybank particles which were distributed in nucleus.② The expression of p63 protein were in anaplastic cell. The positive expression rates of p63 protein in well-differentiated gastric cancer and low-differentiated gastric cancer were 5.9% and 41.7%, and the comparison has statistical significance(p0.05).③ The expression of p63 protein in normal tissues nearby the gastric cancer were negative, together with the positive expression rates of p63 protein in gastric tissue were 24.4 %,and the comparison has statistical significance(p 0.05).Conclusions:①The hyper-expression of p63 protein maybe join the development of gastric cancer. ② p63 protein concerns with the differentiation grade of gastric cancer and may be involved in cell differentiation of gastric cancer .
