Analysis of thinprep cytologic test in the screening of 1 452 patients with cervical diseases

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of thinprep cytologic test in screening of cervical diseases. Methods All 192 cases of abnormal cervical smears identified by thinprep cytologic test underwent colposcopic examination and colopscopically multiple biopsy. Results A total of 192 cases of cervix diseases were found,and the test rate was 13.22%.Of them,136 were CIN,5 were squamous carcinoma. Conlusion The cases of abnormal cervical smears,such as ASCUS,LSIL,HSIL identified by TCT should undergo colpscopic examination and multiple biopsies for further diagnosis,and this will further guide the clinical therapy.
