Clinical Observation of Yiqi Huoxue Pinggan Decoction for Treating 60 Cases of Hypertension Nephropathy

Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of Yiqi Huoxue Pinggan Decoction plus conventional western medicine in treating hypertension nephropathy(HN).Methods:One hundred and twenty HN patients were equally randomized into treatment group and control group.The two groups were given western medicine of Extended Release Nifedipine Tablets,and the treatment group was given oral use of Yiqi Huoxue Pinggan Decoction additionally.After treatment,the clinical effect was evaluated,and the changes of 24-hour urine protein content,blood urea nitrogen(BUN) and serum creatinine(SCr) were observed.Results:The total effective rate was 87% in the treatment group and 67% in the control group,the difference being significant(P0.05).The content of 24-hour urine protein,BUN and SCr in both groups after treatment differed from those before treatment(P0.05),and the improvement in the treatment group was superior to that in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion:Yiqi Huoxue Pinggan Decoction shows synergistic action on the effect of routine western medicine in treating HN.
