Abstract

Objective To explore the effects of phacoemulsification and intraocular lens(iol) implantation combined with artificial glaucoma trabeculectomy.Methods The clinical data of 118 eyes that received the phacoemulsification and intraocular lens(iol) implantation combined with artificial glaucoma trabeculectomy were analyzed retrospectively from September 2004 to June 2007.Results After the surgery,in the vision of the 118 eyes,there were 4 eyes of 0.05~0.1(3.39%),18 eyes of 0.1~0.3(15.25%),40 eyes of 0.3~0.5(33.40%),52 eyes of 0.5~0.8(44.06%),and 4 eyes of 1.0(3.39%).The average intraocular pressure was 12.35(s=1.65) mmHg.Fourteen eyes had postoperative corneal edema,10 eyes had iris reaction and anterior lens,and 4 eyes had capsular opacity membrane,but after treatment,their eyesight obviously improved.Conclusions The combined surgery of glaucoma and cataract is effective though there are some complications that could be relieved after the treatment in time,so it is a kind of ideal operation.
