Abstract

[Objective]To establish a method for determination of manganese in urine by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry(GFAAS).[Methods]Manganese in urine was directly determined by GFAAS after the samples were diluted with nitric acid solution.[Results]In this method, the ashing temperature could reach 1200℃,the atomization temperature was 2400℃. The linear range was from 0.00 to 20.00μg/L,the detection limit of the method was 0.2μg/L. RSD of samples ranged from 2.1% to 4.6%. The average recoveries of samples were between 90.9%-106.8%. There were no significant differences between the results determined by standard curve method and standard addition method.[Conclusion]This method is simple, rapid, accurate and precise. It can be applied in the determination of manganese in urine.
