Abstract

Objective To determine the sensitivity of Ureaplasma urealyticum(Uu) and Mycoplasma hominis(Mh) isolates to tetracyclines, macrolides and quinolones and to provide laboratory data for clinical application. Methods Direct broth dish method was used for drug sensitivity test in 195 isolates of Uu and 118 isolates of Mh to 8 antimicrobial agents. Results Their sensitive rates were as follows: tetracycline (21.0%) 、doxycycline (48.2%)、minocycline (39.5%)、roxithromycin (79.0%)、azithromycin (88.7%)、jossamycin (74.9%)、ofloxacin (28.2%) and sparfloxacin (64.6%) for 195 isolates of Uu, and tetracycline (5.1%)、doxycycline (33.9%)、minocycline (26.3%)、roxithromycin (0.0%)、azithromycin (0.0%)、jossamycin (89.8%)、ofloxacin (70.3%) and sparfloxacin (64.4%) for 118 isolates of Mh. The most sensitive antimicrobial agent for both Uu and Mh isolated from 960 patients with mixed infection was jossamycin (79.2%).Conclusion Regular monitoring of drug sensitivity of urogenital mycoplasma strains has important clinical significance in antimicrobial application.
