Abstract
The curing procedure of bisphenol A cyanate ester resin modified by copolymerization with epoxy E-51 and alicyclic epoxy resin R-122 was studied by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC).According to Kissinger equation and Crane theory, the apparent activation energy and reaction order were obtained. They were 60.522 kJ/mol and 0.89 respectively. The curing reaction was nearly a first order reaction. The initial curing temperature, peak curing tempetature and temination curing temperature was 132.1 ℃,168.7 ℃,and 246.0 ℃ respectively. The results showed that the epoxy resins could promote the curing of BADCy and the copolmerization system could completely cured at 177 ℃.
