Abstract

Objective To investigate the characteristic of pathology and immunohistochemistry for the patient with gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) and the relationship of them. Methods From June 2000 to June 2005,50 cases with GIST received operation were analyzed retrospectively. The tumors' diameter, morphous and immunohistochemistry were reviewed. Results GIST was originated from stomach and small intestine mostly. Conclusion It is the most valuable diagnostic indicant to GIST that CD117 and CD34 were positive. The malignant degree of GIST is related to immunophenotype. But immunophenotype is unrelated to its position.
