Abstract
Objective To investigate the current situation of local women infected with HPV,and to provide the theoretical evidence for preventing HPV infection and treating cervical diseases.MethodsWith flow-through hybridization and gene chip technology which was able to test 21 genotypes simultaneously,HPV genotypes were detected in 1,124 cervical cell samples, including 21 samples of cervical cancer,59 samples of CIN,38 samples of cervicitis, and 1,006 samples of normal cervical tissue. The infection condition and genotypes distribution of HPV were analyzed. With chi-square test, the proportions of HPV-positive cases and HPV-negative cases in different cervical diseases were analyzed.ResultsThe total infection rate was 28.4%(319/1,124),and some cases had multiple infections.20 kinds of genotypes had been tested except HPV43.The major genotypes of HPV were HPV16(19.8%),HPV58(18.3%),HPV52(16.1%),and HPV18(6.3%).There were statistically significant differences in the total constituent ratios of HPV-positive cells and HPV-negative cells in cases of healthy cervix, cervicitis,CIN and cervical cancer(χ2=150.4,P0.005).ConclusionsHPV16,HPV58,HPV52 and HPV18 are the major genotypes of HPV infection in Liuyang. The infection with highly dangerous types of HPV is the necessary and key factor which results in CIN and cervical cancer.HPV testing plays an important role in detecting cervical disease as early as possible, preventing pre-cancer pathological changes in cervix, and reducing the incidence rate of cervical cancer.
