Abstract
millions m 3 of water is diverted from The Yellow River to Hetao Irrigation district every year. During the annual 600 millions m 3 irrigation return flow, with mineral degree of 2 g/l at average and about 1.47 g/l in irrigating seasons, about 3000 millions is suitable for irrigation. Reuse of irrigation return flow is an effective way to improve water resources efficiency and to ease up water resources shortage. Through practical samples, the feasibility of irrigation return flow reuse system in Hetao Irrigation District in Inner Mongolia is analyzed in this paper.
