Irrigation and Drainage Management Decision Support System for Hetao Irrigation District in Inner Mongolia

Abstract

Based on sufficient analysis of present situation of irrigation and drainage management in Hetao Irrigation District, an irrigation and drainage management decision support system was developed and used successfully in practical irrigation and drainage management, which computerized information management at three level of General Bureau, Irrigation Management Bureau and Management Station. The system is a helpful tool not only for making rational irrigation and drainage management decisions, but for extending saving water knowledge in Hetao Irrigation District.
