Abstract
AIM: To investigate the value of using radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) of supraventricular tachycardias (SVT) in children. METHODS: To analyze the treatment efficiency of 49 pediatric patients accepting RFCA during the last 5 years. RESULTS: The treatment efficiency of RFCA of SVT was 100%.AVRT type was 38 in 49 cases(77.6%); AVNRT type was 11. Left side pathway type was 29 cases, right side pathway type was 9 cases in AVRT. CONCLUSION: AVRT and AVNRT are the common types of SVT in children. Radiofrequency catheter ablation of SVT in pediatric patients is safe and effective.
