Abstract

Objective:To explore curative effects of add and subtract of ZengYeTang in the treatment of radiation stomatitis induced by radiotherapy of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.Method:62 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma preparing for local radiotherapy are randomly divided into two groups, during the radiotherapy,31 patients of the treatment group are given ZengYeTang for gargle;the control group are treated with isotonic saline or 1:5000 furacillin solution for gargle in oral nursing, severe one given antibiotics and hormone.Result:The onset time of damage of oral mucous membrane in the treatment group is longer than in the control group(P0.01),the incidence of two-level damage of oral mucous membrane is obviously lower than of control group(P0.01),the obvious effective rate, total effective rate of treating radiation stomatitis are higher than control group(P0.01).Conclusion:ZengYeTang can effectively prevent radiation stomatitis.
