On the Combination of Work-integrated Learning on CBE in Vocational English Teaching

Competence-based education(CBE) in higher vocational college means training ability but not learning an academic knowledge system as the basis of curriculum teaching,training objective and evaluation criterion.The object of this research is aimed at exploring the teaching modes of Competence-based education under analyzing current situation of public English teaching.It is necessary to change the English teaching methods in vocational colleges that need both the teachers and students to change their ideas on English teaching and learning,stressing its professional skills and practicality,setting up the concept of the combination of work-integrated learning,so as to solve the problems of English classroom teaching and improve the teaching quality and develop the students' ability for their future career.
