Abstract
Objective To reveal the possible role of platelet activation in the formation of pulmonary hypertension in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods We used flow cytometry and ELISA to detect and analyze the expression levels of PAC-1,CD62P,PAI-1 and D-dimer.Results The expression levels of PAC-1,CD62P,PAI-1,and D-dimer were significantly higher in COPD with pulmonary hypertension than those in COPD without pulmonary hypertension and in control group(P0.05).Meanwhile,the positive expression rate of PAC-1 and CD62P also showed a significant positive correlation with pulmonary artery pressure(P0.05).Conclusion A high level of platelet activation shows in COPD and a much higher level of platelet activation show in COPD with pulmonary hypertension.The platelet activation is positively correlated with pulmonary artery pressure,suggesting that the platelet activation plays a very important role in the formation and development of pulmonary hypertension.
