A Preliminary Study of the Task-based Teaching Method for Business Chinese

Abstract

In the 1980s,the task-based teaching method emerged in the second language teaching which organizes the classroom teaching by focusing on task,and attaches importance to the expression of the meaning and communicative process,imitates the real situation and participates in classroom interaction as the four principles.The teaching of business Chinese to overseas students has the traits of having Chinese as the core,business as the supplement and the integration of business knowledge into the teaching.Thus,such teaching should focus on the practicability of language knowledge,the communicability of language skills and the universality of Chinese culture and Chinese business knowledge.Because the task-based teaching method emphases leaning in doing,it can well satisfy the teaching of business Chinese.
