Abstract
Teraphenylporphyrin was efficiently synthesized from benzaldehyde and pyrrole under microwave irradiation with acid as catalyst. The effects of solvent, catalyst, microwave irradiation time, microwave irradiation power on the yield of teraphenylporphyrin were investigated. The results showed that the optimum reaction conditions were as followed: 0.9g p-nitrobentoic acid as the catalyst in 50 mL xylene, benzaldehyde 0.01 mol, pyrrole 0.01 mol, microwave irradiation power 280 W,microwave irradiation time 16 min,the yield was up to 53.6%.
