Abstract
Based on chemical analysis, gas chromatography(GC),gel permeation chromatography(GPC),UV and infrared spectroscopy, the chemical structure of polysaccharide fraction L-2A from lentinus edodes fruiting bodies was investigated. The carbohydrate content of the polysaccharide L-2A was 90.14% with the weight average molecular mass of 2.03×105 daltons.GC analysis indicated that L-2A was composed of D-glucopyranose.It had the spiral structure revealed by congo red.It is the first time that a new kind of polysaccharide L-2A is extracted from lentinus edodes.
