Abstract

The treat capacity to wastewater of mercury ion with modified bentonite is researched under different conditions. The results show that when the initial concentration of Hg2+ is 1 mg/L,the removal ratio of Hg2+ by acid—modified beniomte can reach greater than 97% under the following conditions:the dosage of acid—modified bentonite is 10g/L,pH=9~10,the adsorption time is 90 mins. The residual concentration of Hg2+ is less than the first national discharge criterion after the treatment by acid—modified bentonite.
