Study on Change and Its Human Driving Force of Land Use in Xi\'an City

Abstract
In this paper,we analyzed the changeable trend of land use in Xi'an city according to the data of land use within nearly 25 years.Dynamic model showed that the agricultural land was reduced in general;the cultivated land and grassland were decreasing year by year;at the same time,garden plot changed larger;along with the acceleration of urbanization process,there was significant increase in mining land,resident land and traffic land;unused land was rising.By the quantitative and qualitative methods,this paper analyzed the effects of human driving force on the change of land use in Xi'an.The results showed that the fundamental driving force of land-use change was not the increase of population and GDP,but was the suburbanization caused by the economic development,as well as the land adjustment caused by the evolution of industrial structure.
