Abstract
Biodiesel was produced from sunflower oil by transesterification with homogeneous catalyst.Effects of some important process parameters including molar ratio of methanol to oil, dosage of catalyst, reaction temperature and time on the yield of biodiesel were investigated.According to the orthogonal experiment, the optimized conditions for transesterification of sunflower oil with methanol were, molar ratio of methanol to oil,6∶1;ratio of catalyst CH3ONa to oil,1.5%;reaction temperature,70℃;reaction time,70min;The physicochemical indexes of biodiesel obtained met the quality standard GB/T20828-2007.
