Abstract

The paper puts forward the concept of non-boring operation of TBM,which is often in the straight line schedule of tunnel construction.The practice of Dahuofang tunnel project shows that the time of the non-boring operation has the high percentage in the boring operation time,up to 83% on average.Therefore,the non-boring operation should be considered fully to make the scientific and reasonable construction planning in design and construction to the tunnel project with TBM.
