Wuxiaoling tunnel during double tracking of lanzhou Wuwei section in Lanzhou Xinjiang Railway with a total length of 20.050 km will be the longest tunnel in China.The paper introduces the geological situations of the tunnel.Combined with several successful examples in home and abroad in which the TBM was adopted for tunnels' construction,the feasibility of adopting TBM to construct Wuxiaoling tunnel and the reasonableness of its design are expounded in this paper.It will provide powerful guarantee and a foundation for the construction of Wuxiaoling tunnel.
