Effect of Spironolactone on Arrhythmias in Patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction

Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of spironolactone on arrhythmias in patients with acute myocardial infarction.Methods 93 AMI cases were randomly divided into spironolactone group(n=49),and routine treatment group(n=44).All patients were examined by halter on the 1st week,3rd and 6th month.Results After 6-month intervention,the spironolactone group had a lowered ventricular arrhythmias compared with control group(P0.05).Conclusion These findings indicate that in patients with AMI,spironolactone combined with routine treatment can prevent ventricular arrhythmias.
