Abstract

Objective:To observe the effect of tea polyphenol on high-lipid weigh and seum levels of lipid metabolism in rats.Methods:High-lipid model rats were set up.Three dose groups and a control group were formed and administered with different doses of tea polyphenol(400,800 and 1500 mg/kg respectively)for 28 days.The blood lipid levels of the groups were determined.Results:The serum TC of the 400 and 1500 mg/kg groups was significantly different from that of the control group(P0.01) and the serum TG of all the dose groups was also significantly different from that of the control group(P0.01).Conclusion:Tea polyphenol is quite effective in reducing serum TC and TG and adjusting blood lipid for it has the function of regulating the serum levels of lipid metabolism.So it has great development field in lower lipid and health food.
