Abstract
In the paper,the pivotal technologies are described in implementation of embedded linux system for MPC8641D based on PowerPC,including cross development,configuration of target,modifying of U-Boot,porting the Linux kernel and root file system. The development of serial Rapid IO driver is discussed briefly.
