NEW SPECIES OF THE SUBTRIBE PELETERIINA FROM CHINA (DIPTERA:TACHINIDAE)

The present paper gives a list of 21 species of the subtribe Peleferiina from China.Among them 4 species are new to science. 1. Cuphocera kuangan, sp. nov. Frons as broad as 1.2-1.3 of eye, parafrontalia black in ground-colour, withbrownish-grey dust, anterior part of parafrontallia with yellow hairs and posteriorwith black hairs; parafacialia as broad as 1.3--1.4 of third antennal segment; palpiabsent. Thorax black and with dense yellowish-grey dust; hairs on dorsal surface ofthorax black and short, those on lateral pale yellow and long. Claws of anterior legsas long as last two tarsal segments combined. Abdomen greyish-black except lateralpart of third and fourth segments and posterior end of fifth segment in reddish-yellow,with dense grey iridescent dust and black hairs, first sternite with white hairs. Theshape of fifth sternite, the characteristics of forceps in male and the structure ofabdominal end in female illustrated separatly in figs. 1, 2 and 3. Length 11.5--15 mm. Frons as broad as 1.1--1.2 times of eye; parafacialia as broad as 1.3--1.4 timesof third antennal segment; first and second antennal segments reddish-yellow, thirdsegment black. Claws of anterior legs longer than total length of fourth and fifthtarsal joints. Abdomen reddish-yellow, charateristics of abdominal end of , asshown in figs. 4, 5, and 6. Lengh 9--12 mm. Holotype , Hebei, 1964. VII. 14; allotype , Hebei, 1930. VII. 9; paratypes2 , 24 , Hebei, Beijing. 3. Peleteria lianghei, sp. nov. Body colour bluish-black, shining. Frons as broad as 1.2--1.3 times of eye;parafacialia as broad as 1.3 times of third antennal segment. Claws as long as 1.5times of fifth tarsal segment. Characteristics of fifth sternite and forceps as shownseparatly in figs. 7 and 8. Length 9--10 mm. Holotype : Yushu, Qinghai at 4000--4500 m, 1964. VIII. 13; paratypes 18 ,Yushu. Qinghai at 3750-4500 m, Paratype , Jiangda, Xizang at 3400m, 1976. VII.21. 4. Peleteria qutu, sp. nov. This new species is very similar to P. lianghei, but its claws of anterior legs aslong as 1.1--1.2 times of fifth tarsal segment or subequal in lengh.
