Abstract
In this paper one genus and four species are described as new to science. The types of the species are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Academia Sinica. Flavicorniculum gen. nov.Antennae orange, third antennal segment four times as long as second. Head yellow, covered with golden-yellow pollinosity. Interfrontalia twice as broad as parafrontalia; parafacialia 1-1.5 times as broad as third antennal segment. Eyes with dense yellowish hairs. Frons as broad as 3/4 of eye in cf, slightly broader than eye in (?). Thorax black, with grey or yellow polliuosity; a 2(3) + 3, dc 3 + 3, ia 0 + 3, st 2+1, h 4-5; scutellum with four pairs of marginal setae, apical setae as strong as subapical, parallel.Abdomen black, basal excavation of second tergite not reaching hind margin, with two median marginals.Type species: Flavicorniculum hamiforceps, sp. nov.1. Flavicorniculum planiforceps sp. nov. (figs. 5-7)(?). Without a prevertical at each side of vertex; third antennal segment at least four times as long as second. This species very closely resembling Fl. hamiforceps in fourth sternite, which with a dense brush of needle-shaped setae at bind margin, but differing from it by 5th sternite and forceps illustrated in figs. 5 and 6.Length: 13-16mm.Holotype (?).
