Abstract
The NDV strain Siping was grown in chicken embryos. The virus was purified and the genomic RNA was extracted. Using a pair of special primers, whole sequence of HN gene of NDV strain Siping was amplified by RT_PCR and sequenced after being directly inserted in plasmid KS(_).The sequence analysis showed that the nucleotide sequence of this HN gene was 1742 bp long encoding a protein of 571 amino acids. In the amino acid sequence, there are 5 glycosylation sites and 12 cysteine residues. The homology of the nucleotide is 83.4%~89.2% and that of the deduced amino acid sequence is 87.6%~91.1%.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
