Abstract

Objective:To study the risk factors in obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS).Methods:Related parameters for 192 cases of patients with snoring were analysised, including the sleep disorders qestionnaire, neck circumference, hight, weight and polysomnography(PSG).The relationship between the severity of OSAHS and gender, age and obesity was studied. Results There was significant difference between the male and female patients with OSAHS in symptoms, severity of the disease and the sleep disorder parameters. The age of patients with OSAHS was mainly in 31 to 60 years old.The body mass index(BIM),neck circumference,waist/hip rate was highly related to apnea/hypopnea index(AHI),oxygen desaturation index, the lowest arterial oxygen saturation. Conclusion:Gender, age and obesity were the risk factor for OSAHS.
