Observation of curative effect of itravenous diltiazem in treatment of unstable angina

Objective To observe the curative effect of diltiazem in treatmeng of unstable angina pectoris.Methods A total of 30 unstable angina patients who failed to conventional anti-angina pectoris treatment,were treated with contin uous infusion of intravenous diltiazem for 72 hours.The dose of diltiazem was revised from small dose according to angina attack frequency,heart rate,blood pressure and heart function.Angina attack frequency and the duration time of attacking,changes in ST-T wave,heart rate,blood pressure,heart function.Results The attack of angina was effectively controlled after diltiazem treatment compared with before diltizaem treatment.The average attack frequency and duration time and depression of ST segment were significantly decreased after diltizaem treatment(P 0.01) The heart rate,blood pressure significantly decreased after diltizaem treatment(P 0.01),The total effective rate was 93.3%.without serious adverse reactions.Concousion It is effective and safe to teat unstable angina pectoris with diltizaem intravenous injection.
