The Diachronic Replacement of "Wen" into "Xiu"

The meaning of smell with nose is represented by the word Wen in modern Chinese instead of by the Xiu in the Chinese history.From the perspectives of people's pragmatic psychology and the development of linguistic system,this paper points out that the internal motivating force of the usage evolution and the replacement is to provide an example for the word research.
